Mr Gee Poet started off as a local DJ playing in clubs and bars around London. He then went on to host and perform at the renowned night “Brix-Tongue” in South London where he soon became a well-known voice among London’s growing Spoken Word Poetry scene.

He presents the series “Bespoken Word” on Radio 4 which has been running since 2003 & is dedicated to performance poetry, plus he was also the “poet laureate” for Russell Brand’s infamous Radio 2 show (which earned him a SONY Gold award). He’s toured with the comedian up and down the UK and was the first poet to perform at the O2 arena in front of 15,000 people.

He starred in the West End show “Into the Hoods”, which was the first Hip Hop show to ever make it into a West End theatre where he wrote a poetical monologue as an introduction. He most recently had a tiny cameo role in the Hollywood film “Get Him to the Greek” (starring Jonah Hill & P Diddy) and he’s currently working with a group of young poets to put on a series of events called “Chill Pill” as well as writing topical poems for the BBC’s regional radio circuit.
